How to Customize your blogs Header

If you want to change your header image, you have to make some custom change in your blogs HTML Section. First of all, take a backup of entire blog template, so that even if some errors happened, you can restore it in previous stage. Log in to your blogger account and go to design tab and then edit html, back up .xml file to your hard disk. then click expend widgets. look for given codes-

<div id='header-wrapper'> <b:section class='header' id='header' maxwidgets='1' showaddelement='no'> <b:widget id='Header1' locked='true' title='Header (Header)' type='Header'/> </b:section> </div>

Change Max widgets ="1" to 2 to add another element in your header.

Change Showaddelelement=no" to 'yes' so that you can upload or change your header image.  

Change Locked='true' to false for removing your old header.

Now save and you notice that in your design sanction a header bar will appear to create your own header.

Hints : - Max widgets-represents how may itmes you can add to your header.

showaddelement represents to add a bar in your design saction to add a custom header

locked-represent that if locked is true you can not remove old header, and if false you can remove your old header.
